Footprints in the dead Sea Joburg sand

Dead Sea prayer-walk around Johannesburg

As I pondered the prompting in my heart, to go on the 210km prayer-walk around the city of Johannesburg, the Holy Spirit spoke a very interesting thing to me: Walk around Johannesburg as if you are walking around the dead sea... I was intrigued and I delved deeper to understand God's heart. I thought I was to pray About the death and destruction in the city. About the barrenness and isolation that people experience. About the sinfulness and crime. But the Lord impressed on my heart to pray along the words in Ez 47... About water flowing from the temple, from a trickle to mighty river, into the Dead Sea. About how this river makes the water in the Dead Sea fresh so everything will live where the river goes. About how fishermen will come to fish and the fish will be of many kinds. He also showed me a principle in Jer 29:7 to pray to the Lord on behalf of the welfare of the city, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
