Waking up on the first morning, I felt the Lord give me this scripture to take with me in my heart; “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”  Ephesians 5:14 (ESV) This day, it proved to be a wonderful key in understanding God revealing deep things. Bearing in mind that I was starting off the prayerwalk in prayer for the Afrikaner nation to come into the place of being in the full purpose that God has for them, right now at this specific point in time. My wife accompanied me to the first 3 destinations: At daybreak, we started off at the Union Buildings in Pretoria. Our first prayers were filled with God laying on our hearts to pray about a new season which is coming. I fondly remember the prayer-walks I did in: Denmark for the Danes;  Sweden for the Swedes ; Frankfurt for the Germans;  Singapore for the Singaporeans;  Sydney for the Aussies;  across the length New Zealand for the New Zealanders;  around Joburg for the Joburgers all across South Africa for the locals  BUT now ... While training for the SOWETO to BRITS prayer-walk, I walked over a high hill and felt the Lord say: Don't go down yet. Climb on the rocky area beside the road to the very top of the hill." As I looked out over the landscape and felt God remind me of the scripture where He said to Abram in Gen 13:17 "Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its breadth; for I will give it to you." In Gill's Exposition of the Bible, he states that taking land in possession, by civil law was done by walking on it. I knew in my heart that would be true for this walk too, in a spiritual sense. I got the flags ready which I felt God told me to take with. So many people stopped me along the road to ask about the flags. This gave me a great opportunity to bring to them the gospel according to the colours of the flags. Standing at the closed gate of Fisherman's Village, I needed to phone reception to open the gate. The sun was bright and I couldn't see the screen of my phone clearly. I pressed the wrong button and dialled the wrong number. William answered - he is one of two pastors who I met during a recent Holy Spirit conference - we were both delegates! It was good to hear his voice and we had a short chat. The gate opened and I entered the main office. There was a visitor - another delegate from the conference. The other of the two pastors whom I met at the conference! Both of the two pastors - not only brought to my remembrance, but brought into contact in person! How WOW is that ... Coincidence? What a coincidence! But since I met the Lord in a deep way, I don't believe in coincidence any more. As I started out on a 20km prayer-walk this morning, I had an expectancy in my heart. The prayer-walk around Johannesburg had over 200 prayer-partners involved. I just want to thank everyone for praying for the city - especially for praying about the crime and safety! I have great encouragement for you all: We prayed for a crime-free and safe Johannesburg... Johannesburg was exceptionally safe and ctime-free! "Johannesburg has enjoyed an exceptionally crime-free and safe festive season... We can report a significant reduction in the number of deaths and serious accidents on our roads during the holiday period. The 2010 festive season was one of the safest periods in recent years both on our roads and with regards to general crime in Johannesburg," Metro Police Chief Chris Ngcobo, said in a statement. The authorities credit the practical components like cooperation from the public and the Metro police department (JMPD) officers BUT I add to that by giving credit to God for His intervention and grace. Thank You Lord Jesus for hearing our prayers and thank You Lo
